Last night we were watching a dancing competition and the judges commented on the last contestants "great Tootsie Roll". I've forgotten what that even means, except for the lyrics, "to the left to the left, to the right to the right, now dip...Tootsie Roll". Derrick suggested I used YouTube to research.
So I've spent some time "researching".
And YouTube is like a box of chocolates...
Still not sure I can do the Tootsie Roll, but this find might be worth the research effort:
My friend Cindy blogged about the origin of the song "I Want Candy" you likely sang in the 80's. It's actually a great song from the 60's. This research led me to a guy that I kind of wish could be my friend:
And now I seriously need to do something else. Like shower.

that was by FAR the most entertaining post thus far. i laughed out loud-twice!
I can't believe that you don't know how to do the tootsie roll!! Those teletubbies were certainly not doing it correctly. I will just have to show you myself the next time we are together (perhaps after quite a few glasses of wine).
wow, jules- stellar videos. i agree with courtney, the teletubbies are clueless, but they can't really help it since they're so chubby and have no freedom to 'roll' from left to right. but the 2nd video is classic! how does someone think to do that in the first place? wish i could dance like that. :-) very entertaining. (but i've never heard that song!)
Tootsie Roll was "da bomb" back in 1994!! I have that song in my iTunes collection.
