Classes started this week.
It's always exciting to get new syllabi, it's fun to hear new lectures and think of all the things you'll learn and accomplish in four short months. And every semester... maybe since my second semester in college... I think that this semester (this is really the one) I will read every page of every assignment and complete papers ahead of schedule. Way ahead. I'll take on extra research, find volunteer work, and pick up a new hobby. Or two. And be healthier. And read a book "for fun".
So far I'm four days into classes and I've thoroughly read half of one assigned journal article (out of 7 or so for the week). And I just figured out it was the wrong article... as in this article's not even relevant for another 3 weeks. So I'm 0 for 7 thus far, but hopes are still high that I will perfect my reading, writing, research, and study skills. This semester.
