Goo-lash

My friend Christie was sweet enough to make dinner for Meg & me on Saturday. I'm adding the recipe below because it was SO yummy and perfect for the fall. Even though it's not really fall yet, football is on, it's not 100+ degrees and classes have resumed. So that's close enough for me. I can't wait for more college football, pumpkin anything, hot chocolate, falling leaves and wearing different clothes.

In other news... lately my laptop has been ill. It's going blue screen, which I understand to be the classic symptom that your computer is on the verge of crashing. Forever. Bad news but I'll be in the market for a new laptop by the end of the year. I would consider getting an Apple but don't want to ask anyone that owns an Apple about it. I feel like every person that owns one is a walking commercial, so eventually I'll ask but in the mean time will research myself a bit. I'm open to suggestions!

This dish is a great way to welcome the season... If you have a sec, what do you like most about fall?

Hungarian Goulash

2 lbs of steak, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T flour
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 T paprika
1/4 t dried thyme, crushed
2 bay leaves
1 28-oz can tomatoes, whichever size or cut you want
1 c sour cream

Put steak cubes, onion, garlic in crock pot. Stir in flour and mix to coat steak cubes. Add all remaining ingredients except sour cream. Stir well. Cover and cook on low 7 to 10 hours. Add sour cream 30 minutes before serving, & stir in thoroughly. (High: 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally) Serve over hot noodles/pasta or rice.
Thanks Christie!
