I like my cell phone most of the time. It's easy to use, it's pretty and pink and when I remember that it is also a camera, it comes in handy for sweet moments. Like the puppies napping on a car trip. Such cuddlers!
I'm seeing more and more iPhones but I don't feel like I'm missing out by not having one myself. In fact, my favorite phone ever might be the second phone I got when I was 17 or so. I upgraded from the car mounted phone (complete with spiraled cord) and got a smaller phone that didn't flip or have a color screen. In fact, I just remembered that it had a pull-up antenna! I used to use my teeth to quickly yank it up when I got a call. Unlike my Razr, every time I hit a button, it clicked in real time. For example, if I dialed a number, there was never a delay. Each digit was easy and I didn't have to look at the phone or think about it shutting off at random. I loved locking the keys and sticking it in my pocket because it was "small". By small I mean it could be toted easily, but at least an inch actually stuck OUT of my pocket. Dork.
I don't know how I feel about phones playing music, taking video and pictures, and connecting to the internet. I guess it could grow on me, but I like to at least spread out my tech dependency to the phone, laptop, Tivo, camera, and iPod instead of having one mega-tool, for now at least.
Sigh. Look how happy the pups are in that picture. And they don't even need a TV remote.
