Nashville TPA Conference

Thursday I drove to Nashville with several other IO graduate students to attend the graduate poster session at the Tennessee Psychological Association convention. I summed up my thesis research in a 3 x 4 ft. poster, stood at an easel for 2 hours, and discussed and answered questions about my research. Each student was asked to judge the poster and presentation of 3 other students and when scores were tallied, I placed third. I didn't realize judging was part of the poster session, but it was nice to place and the $50 prize paid for the poster.

Thursday night, Adriane, Courtney, Sarah and I went to dinner at Bound'ry in Nashville and shared tapas and wine. Bound'ry was the restaurant we went to for my bachelorette party last year and I'm convinced it's my favorite restaurant in Nashville. We shared the Phoenician plate (hummus, pesto, olives, peppers, cheese, etc.), scallops & potato, shrimp bisque, and the best crab cakes I've ever had. It's worth seeking out if you're in the area!
