My first album

Do you remember your first album? I know that I just missed the "real" record album era, but I do recall listening to Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake records. One of my favorites was Willie Nelson. I learned where to put the needle so "On the road again" would start right on cue...

As for audio tapes, I recall the Nutcracker Suite and various piano/classical mixes. I loved the Benny & Joon soundtrack ("I'm gonna be" aka "500 miles") and, yes, Ace of Base. It's really a
blur though. Then came CDs... I remember asking for a CD player for Christmas. The stereo + speakers was too big for Santa to wrap so it was the first gift I spotted and ran to Christmas morning. And it came with my first four CDs: Best of the 70s, The Big Chill soundtrack, Heart, and Grand Funk Railroad. All classics.

Funny that my first CDs were actually recorded in the days of "real" records. I was just born in the wrong decade. I wonder if the next generation will remember their first download? mp3? iPod? Either way, I'll be glad to share my "classic" CD collection.
