I'd like to think I was one of the original crew of bloggers. Back in the day, 2003/2004, my blog was actually an AOL "journal" that I started just before Italy and kept up about a month or two after moving to Memphis.
I received a printed version of this journal as a gift when I returned home and I recently found that every entry is still posted online. It's kind of like sharing my diary with you because it's from the past and I haven't re-read it all (yet) but I thought I would share it here if you have the time, curiosity, or want to travel to Italy vicariously through an old journal (like I do).
The stories began November 14, 2003. I was 22, single, and just 6 months away from graduating college. I had no idea I'd end up at Make-A-Wish or Memphis or that I'd meet my husband just one year later. The link below starts right at the Italy adventure. Clicking "older entries" leads up to the trip and "newer entries" follows the semester abroad. By the way, don't feel obligated to read a single word. Reading a friend's 5 year old blog is something I'd do (just ask Derrick) but maybe not fun for all.
Here we go: JB's Journal

This is so awesome. I can't wait to read all about it. Thanks for opening my life to the world of blogging. It has kept me in touch with so many people who I may not have otherwise.
"A Makeover Story on your Real Parents who just Chose the Man You Will Marry if He Can Eat 5 Tarantulas in 10 minutes... Naked."
What a great concept :-)
