B52's

So I was lucky to have tickets to a B-52s concert fall in my lap last week (thanks ck/be!). The concert was at the Memphis Botanic Gardens for their summer concert series, Live at the Garden. The 6 tickets were actually at an outdoor table and 5 girlfriends joined me for the evening. The seats were great and even better, we could bring our dinner and wine to the table, which we were glad to do. My friend Laura was more prepared than a girl scout with her candles, lighter, extra garbage bag, wonderful sandwiches and salsa. Christie was generous with yummy dips and chips from Fresh Market (yum yum yum) and I brought fruit and a mini pizza appetizer. My friends Julie and Cindy also joined us and Cindy even posted some video from the event you can see here.

I knew 3 or 4 songs and some were more random, but we had such a good time and the B-52s were great entertainers. We were lucky to have a nice evening, rain-free with just enough breeze. It's been a while since I've been to see live music, but I'd love to do it again soon!
