Celeb baby names

At Megan's shower, I mentioned that we played the Celebrity Baby Name Match game. It was funny to see all the crazy names celebrities come up with, but reading some of them makes me doubt celebrities I thought were "normal" or admirable. You can read a few here.

Bono, for example, named his kid Memphis Eve. No one in the world could hear that and not think about "Christmas Eve" or "New Year's Eve" and adding Memphis just doesn't make sense. My favorite insane choice is "Kal-El," Nicholas Cage's son. From my brief obsession with Superman comics and Lois & Clark, I know that Kal-El is Superman's Kryptonian birth name. Do these people realize that children aren't accessories and that even at 60 years old, this will still be their name? How can you try to do business with someone or write a check to "Kal-El"? And I love Matt Lauer. I have coffee with him every morning. His son's name? Thijs. Can't even sound it out. It's pronounced “Tice” and is a shortened form of Matthijs, Dutch for Matthew. Matt's wife is Dutch. I guess Tice rhymes with "lice"? Just asking for trouble in my opinion.
