New digs

So I got a new laptop. A Macbook.  I've given in to the social and school pressure and converted to Apple from PC.  I know that video editing and photo options on Apples are great so that was enough to sell me. So far so good. There are little things to learn, but I'm excited and it's great that Derrick and I can BOTH have a computer at the same time.  Likely ESPN and finances for him and blogs, perezhilton, recipes, and email for me. Simultaneously.

So for those of you that watch TV... do you see a serious difference between the pre- writer strike and post-strike episodes?  Something happened. Either the writers were off their game or the new hires have a learning curve.  Even my favorite show, The Office, has weaker moments than usual.  Most obvious changes: Big Bang Theory, Back To You, Grey's Anatomy, and Ugly Betty.  Maybe I just fell out of love.  But really, I'm disappointed. It's as if the shows are trying so hard to make up for lost time that they're jam packed, not clever, and borderline boring. I'm not as amused or interested as I was before. Maybe it's a good thing. Just FYI, How I Met Your Mother is still holding strong. It's a small show, but always funny.

So those are my post-semester, post-graduation thoughts. More on that later, but it feels so, so good to be home on a weeknight with no homework and no worries.
